The District Attorney’s office Hot Check department is here to help merchants try to collect checks that are returned to the businesses. This is a free service provided by this office. We are located on the 1^st Floor of the Justice Center, 200 S. Crockett (corner of Lamar and Crockett), Sherman, Texas. The information contained in this site is designed to better assist you in taking checks and when the need requires, processing them through the District Attorney’s office.
